Introducing Apollo


I am super excited to formally introduce our new, bulky weight, 100% superwash merino wool yarn, Apollo.  Sadly, my base yarn supplier no longer carries the squishy, soft, Peruvian wool yarn, Spectra, that I loved so much.  So, I'd been on the hunt for a bulky weight replacement.  Apollo is just as lofty as the Spectra, but much softer and has a lovely luminous quality.  And, at 106 yds/100g skein, it knits up lickety split!







To celebrate the release of this new yarn, I decided to give away a skein of Apollo in the beautiful Tradewinds colorway!  To enter, simply leave a comment on this post, telling me which colorway is your current favorite in the shop.  Please make sure to include either your email address or Ravelry ID.  For extra entries, leave a separate comment letting me know if you "Like" Luna Grey Fiber Arts on Facebook and if you Subscribe to this blog.  I will close the comments on Monday, January 27th and announce a winner shortly thereafter.  (So sorry international friends, this giveaway is open to US residents only.)

    Loving the new cinnamon color way, although all the colors of Luna Grey are stupendous! Soft, beautiful, gorgeous for making beautiful things! Thank you for what you do with fiber and color, Jackie.

    Apollo looks so luscious! I was going to say that my favorite colorway is Elderberry but after carefully reading the names I have to say that I love Tradewinds as much and just the name makes me love it more :)

    i think honeycomb is my second favorite colorway----tradewinds was my favorite, but if i had just written that, you wouldn't have known that I really did drool over each and every skein in the shop….

    Wow, picking a favorite color is so hard! I am usually really drawn to greys and yellows, but recently I've been into deep red/cranberry, so I think Celeste might be my favorite right now or maybe Mona? So I guess that's the Sugarplum colorway--so beautiful!
